LB-60 water quality toxicity detector adopts the luminescent bacteria method.The luminescent bacteria emit 450-490nm blue-green light during normal metabolism,while they encounter external toxic substances that will affect the metabolism of luminescent bacteria and inhibit the luminous intensity.The inhibition of luminescent bacteria is related to the toxicity of external toxic substances. So this method provides a basis for the detection and evaluation of environmental quality.
